Taylor hit a grand slam off Wade Davis to force a game 5. Before the grand slam by Taylor, Cubs Manager tried several pitcher changes to prevent runs, but his strategy was unsuccessful. Taylor’s game winning hit was the Nationals first postseason grand slam in franchise history. Taylor has the highest postseason batting average (.273) of any Nationals starter. The Nationals stay alive by defeating the Cubs 5-0 and tying the National League Division Series 2-2. Game 5 is scheduled for Thursday night in Washington. The winner will face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NL Championship Series.
