Chicago Bulls vs Milwaukee Bucks

The Chicago Bulls defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 114-101.  After losing to the Mavericks on Wednesday, the Bulls got their drive back in Friday’s game against the Bucks. During the 1st quarter, the game was close, neither team was able to pull away.  With 26 seconds left in the first quarter, the game was tied 24-24.  Then, Antetokounmpo makes a 3-point buzzer beater giving the Bucks a 27-24 lead at the end of the first quarter.  At the beginning of the second quarter, Bulls guard Denzel Valentine makes a 3-pointer to tie the game 27-27. With 45 seconds left in the second quarter, the game was tied 54-54. Holiday and Mirotic both made 3-point shots ending the quarter 56-60.  In the third, the Bulls began to pull away from the Bucks ending the period with a 12 point lead.  In the 4th quarter, the Bulls were a little more aggressive with contributions from Nwaba, Felicio, Valentine, Portis and Dunn.  With 2 minutes left in the game, the Bucks tried to battle back with a set of 3-pointers from Payton II and Brown.  However, it wasn’t enough to close the Bulls 13 point lead.  The top scorers for Milwaukee were Giannis Antetokounmpo who finished with 24 points, Kris Middleton-14 points, and Greg Monroe with 10 points.  For the Bulls,  Justin Holiday scored 21 points, and Mirotic, Valentine, and Portis each finished with 15 points.  Similar to game 1 against the Pelicans, the Bulls were able to get their 3-point game going by making 17 of 34. If the Bulls continue to improve their 3-point shooting efforts, it could transfer to the regular season. Hoping for a repeat performance of game 1, the Bulls will continue their drive against the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday at the United Center.
