Chance the Rapper severed as the Grand Marshall of the 88th Annual bud Billiken Parade. Through his SocialWorks charity, Chance gave out 30,000 backpacks with school supplies to students. During the parade he also gave free Bud Billiken Bash concert tickets to students, parents, and teachers in the crowd on King Drive. Free concert tickets were also given out at select businesses in the Chicago area. The Bud Billiken Bash was held later in the evening at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University. Chance performed his hits including Blessings, Angels, and No Problem. Special guest artists included: Jeremiah who performed Birthday Sex, Hendrix performed Commas, and Future performed Mask Off. After the Bash, Chance gave out more backpacks to Chicago students in the lobby of the theatre.
