LAS VEGAS, NEVADA-Six Democratic presidential candidates were on the debate stage on Wednesday night. Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg made his first appearance on the debate stage. The other candidates didn’t waste any time challenging Bloomberg. The debate became heated when Senator Warren addressed Bloomberg about allegations of sexual harassment. She asked if he would release former female employees from nondisclosure agreements, so they can speak freely about the situation. Bloomberg responded by saying, “I’ve said we’re not going to get to end these agreements because they were made consensually and they have every right to expect that they will stay private”.
Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar was under fire by moderator Vanessa Hauc about not knowing the name of the president of Mexico. Buttigieg used the moment to say that Klobuchar should have known his name because she sits on the Commerce Committee that oversees trade policy. She said that she made an error and it was a matter of momentary forgetfulness.
