Chicago Bulls vs Dallas Mavericks

The Chicago Bulls were defeated by the Dallas Mavericks 71-118 in their second preseason game on Wednesday night.  The Bulls couldn’t get the break they needed to turn things around.  The Bulls highest scorers were Paul Zipser and Robin Lopez with 12 points each.  Their 3-point shooting wasn’t as explosive as it was in game 1 against the Pelicans.  With 29 3-point attempts, the Bulls only made 7.  Zipser was 3 for 6 from the 3-point line.  The Bulls kept it close during the first half.  Smith and Barnes stayed on the attack keeping pressure on the Bulls to maintain a 6 point lead before the half.  However, during the second half, the Mavericks outscored the Bulls by 41 points with an onslaught of 3-pointers.  The Mavericks made 18 of their 3-pointers to seal the win. For the Mavericks, Harrison Barnes finished with 17 points, Dennis Smith, Jr.-14, and Gian Clavell-12.  Hopefully the Bulls can get back on track when they face the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday in Chicago.
