31st Chicago Gospel Music Festival

Hezekiah Walker, Shirley Caesar, Brian Courtney Wilson, Travis Green, and the Chicago Mass Choir were some of the headliners that performed at the 31st Chicago Gospel Music Festival.

Stellar and Dove awards winner, Brian Courtney Wilson, sang an extended rendition his song “Worth Fighting For”.

Shirley Caesar, the eleven-time Grammy winning gospel legend, performed her new song “It’s Alright, It’s OK”, and one of her older hit songs “I Remember Mama”.  She encouraged members from the audience to come to the front of the stage to sing.  It was one rememberable performance by the gospel legend.

The audience entered into praise and worship as Travis Green performed “Made A Way” and “Intentional”. He told his powerful testimony of how he almost lost his life when he fell four stories from a building, but God saved him. He jumped off the stage and handed the mic to audience members to sing. It was an amazing performance by the artist.

Grammy Award winning gospel artist, Hezekiah Walker, sang his hit songs, “I Am Sold Out”, “Better”, and “Grateful”.  He sang “I Need You to Survive” as he prayed for victims of gun violence in Chicago.  He asked the audience to hold up a light for those we lost.

This year’s gospel fest also included Percy Gray and Joshua’s Troop, New Direction, Chicago Mass Choir, Great Migration Mass Choir featuring Dr. Cynthia Nunn & The IMEJ Mass Choir , Rev. Derrick Wells and The Christ Universal Temple Ensemble, The Victory Travelers, Bishop William Murphy, and many others.
